Summary: Many times before, we've seen whole families of killers and psychos who seem to rule one another through fear and general insanity. But rarely do we see a family not only this large, but genuinely ready to have each other's backs. That is, while they're committing murderous crimes that would make the Manson family blush.

History: In the less than savory parts of Ruggsville, Texas, one of the most twisted families lives. The Fireflies are a clan of quasi-related bastards, murderers, and kooks who either wait for unsuspecting tourists or go out and kill those who irk them. Leaders include their patriarch, Mother Firefly, and a major associate known as Captain Spaulding, Clown by day and crazed killer by...day and night. Altogether, nothing makes them happier than dismembering the unfortunate...and the very deserving as well.

Notable Kills: Scalpings, face rip-offs, impromptu taxidermies, the works.

Final Fate: Unfortunately, the Firefly clan became horrifically divided after the death of a corrupt sheriff at their hands got some killed, many apprehended and killed, and some, like poor Tiny, to kill themselves out of sorrow. Even Spaulding met his end at an execution after surviving getting riddled with bullets. The last Fireflies are Otis, Baby, and Foxy, who were last seen overthrowing a vile gang known as the Black Satans. Where they'll go next, none can say...

Powers/Abilities: None, though they seem amazingly resilient.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-There are many of them, and each and every one of them have their own horrifying quirks that give way to a multitude of ways to die horribly, even if most prefer quick deaths. Spaulding is obviously the worst with his freakish makeup and those TEETH! At the same time, they are often seen murdering those who are just as bad, if not more so, than them. It really doesn't excuse all of the innocents they murder.

Trivia: -Spaulding's anti-climatic death in the third film was a result of his actor, Sid Haig, being unavailable. Even sadder, the man passed away a week after it was released. We want to take the time to say that even though Haig played as many scary characters in life, he was an incredibly humble and sweet guy to be around.

-Despite it being one of his most recognized film franchises, director Rob Zombie doesn't seem to be fond of the first film, citing it as something of a mess.

This should be enough for one to reach for the blade.

"Nobody comes here, not even for Pogs!"

Christ, just burn it all.

Not the best look for you, eh?

Clearly, you've never seen A Serbian Film.

It doesn't get any better from here.

Well, frag you three too then.

Why don't you have a seat...nevermind. You're already sitting.
SEND. HELP. And finger-painting classes.

"We might as well put up an 'Abandon All Hope' sign!"

Eh. Pistols are quick and merciful murder weapons. What am I saying?!

Truly, an image of mental health!
Come for the gore, stay for no reason at all.

Again, you must live a sheltered film life.

Dr. Satan, everyone. At least he nailed a cool mask look.

This ain't gonna be like Bonnie and Clyde. Just die quicker.
